Frequently Asked Questions

Your baby's first appointment should be scheduled within 3–5 days after hospital discharge. We recommend calling us before your due date so we can reserve a spot for your newborn's first visit. If your baby is already home, call (919) 720-4876 right away to get on the schedule.

Yes! We welcome children transferring from other practices. We'll help you request medical records from your previous pediatrician. Just call (919) 720-4876 to schedule your child's first appointment, and we'll guide you through the transfer process.

Well-child visits typically last 20–30 minutes, depending on your child's age and your questions. Sick visits are usually shorter. We don't rush appointments. Our goal is to make sure you leave feeling heard and confident about your child's care.

The patient portal is a convenient, secure tool for our current families to manage their child's health. Through the portal, you can request prescription refills, view immunization records, access lab results, and send secure messages to your board-certified provider for non-urgent family health inquiries.

Our registered nurses are available by phone after hours for urgent concerns. If your child needs immediate medical attention, they'll help you decide whether to visit an urgent care or an emergency room. For non-urgent questions, you can also message providers through the patient portal and expect a response the next business day.

You can request a preferred provider, but you're welcome to see any of our five board-certified providers based on availability. All of our clinicians have access to your child's full medical record and work as a collaborative team.

Yes! We open at 7:00 AM Monday–Friday for early morning appointments before school and work. We also offer select Saturday hours from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and our phones stay on through lunch for easier scheduling.

Call our office at (919) 720-4876 and describe your child's symptoms. Our staff can help you determine if your child needs a same-day appointment, if it can wait a few days, or if you can manage symptoms at home. We'd rather help you make the right call than have you worry.
